Soccer star and a rainbow

Nope, no great story here about my girl finding a rainbow and a pot of gold after an amazing soccer game.  But I do have a rainbow on a page where my soccer girl is the spotlight.  How is that??  She has been on my case lately about more soccer pages, so I have been doing what I can to churn them out.  Here we go...

The background is made with the new banner journal prompt stamps from Evalicious.  I love them!

This is my last project for the Evalicious design team.  My term is ending.  It has been a fun 6 months and I love Eve's products.  I cannot wait to see what all else she will come up with!

Happy Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Dad and his girls

Over on the American Crafts blog this week, it is all about Dad, which is fun because Dad's are special and they deserve more than just one day.  Don't you think?

I found three Instagram pics of the girls each with Dad.  (No one runs from my phone when it is out, unlike my dslr.)  Here is what I put together.

Have a great time of Sunday with the dad in your life!  Thanks for stopping by!

One girl's dance recital

The dance recital is a big day each year.  My youngest has been in dance for 4 years, so she is totally used to and in love with the recital.  She gets so excited about the costumes and the music and everything.  This year seemed even more important because it would be her last recital, at least for awhile.  She has gotten more serious with gymnastics this year and made a special team.  With the new team comes a new commitment, so for now, she is stopping with dance.  So the last recital is a BIG DEAL!

Well, something new was thrown into the schedule this year.  Kindergarten.  Kindergarten graduation was the same time on the same night as the dance recital.  The studio did what they could to try to change the schedule around but it just didn't work.  The two things were at the same time and she was going to have to choose.

She thought about it.  And she flipped back and forth a little.  And in the end she went with graduation.  She had a speaking part in the ceremony, had her own gap and gown that matched the seniors, and the daily practice at school made it an even bigger deal.  But what was going to happen with the recital?

Well, her teacher, being awesome, told us that the dress rehearsal could be her recital.  YAY!  We had everyone come to the rehearsal.  Her hair was perfect.  Her makeup was beautiful.  She had her audience, cameras and video all on her.  And she was happy because this made it so she could do both events.

Plus, I got pictures!!

For this page I used the June Jenni Bowlin kits.  I LOVE the stars!!  To see more of the gallery for June or the kit details, head over to the Mercantile!

She is such a good girl and really tries to make the best of everything.  I love that.

I hope you had a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

The first pool day of summer

The weather has been a little abnormal so far this summer.  It has been unseasonably cool.  The pools are COLD still.  The opened May 18th weekend, but there was no way I was going up because, brrr.... just sitting there in shorts was going to be a little uncomfortable.  We had plans for over Memorial Day weekend to go to my mom's pool and have a day with her and I was wondering if it was going to be too chilly to enjoy the outside.  Well, I don't know who was reading my mind, but the weekend turned out to be totally gorgeous and the pool day was fabulous.  (The water is still way too cold for me to get in, but the sun felt good.)

Here we are after a fun day.  Well, dear hubby is driving and not in the picture.  Me and my crew.  Love it!  I love all the smiles and the crazy hair and the rosy, sunkissed cheeks.  It was awesome.  The first pool day of the summer.  I love that even my teenager could hang out, horse around, laugh and have fun at the pool this day.

For this page, I used Evalicious tags and badges.  (Love the badges!)  You can see all of the stuff I used for this on the Evalicious blog.

Time to start the weekend here, now.  Thanks for stopping by!

An important guy...

He's not forgotten on my pages, but I will be honest and say, he is not always the most willing of models.  But every now and then, I can make him sit for a quick picture.  Yay!  Because he is important to me, I want to make sure I have him in my scrapbooks.

Sure, he's dad and my dear hubby.  But he's so much more than that.  He takes care of our family and doesn't complain.  He supports me and all of my craziness.  He is great with our girls, each girl's biggest fan.  He gives up college football for a soccer tournament or a cross country meet.  He sacrifices for each of us every day.  Plus, he's my best, best, best friend and I love him so much.  I only hope I can be all of that to him too.

It is no special occasion for me to say this or make this page.  It is just a day that I appreciate him and am so incredibly thankful for him.  I hope today is a day he decides to check out my blog.  :-)

The products on this page are all from Jenni Bowlin.  Not the monthly club, but her products.  Most of it is the new stuff too!  Jenni Bowlin teamed up with Fiskars, so my awesome stamping is because I used the Fiskars Easy Stamp Press.  It made me feel like I was a good stamper, which I know I am not.

Thanks for looking, reading, allowing me to gush a little.  And thanks for stopping by!
